Overview
This logo is supposed to represent a residential transition business providing relocation, downsizing, aging in place services.
I am calling this my proof of concept as I know it needs a lot of technical work, but I need to learn more techniques ! I’m excited about your critical input and advice.
Technical Notes
- Color: I like the blue background, but am unsure about leaving the font and images black and white.
- I want the “W” to simulate angel wings, but not overpower. I like the font I am using for “W”, but want to revise and probably eliminate the “dot-looking” end. I just need to figure out how to use the pencil tool.
- I included an image of a hammer to illustrate the idea, but plan to utilize illustrator tools to create the hammer. (Again, I need more work on learning the technique).

My name is Sylvia Zellmer. Having been married for 35 years to a Veteran, I had the great opportunity of being a military wife and living in several different places. We fell in love with Puyallup WA so settled here 30 years ago with our son and daughter. We now have six kid’s kids and spend most of our time enjoying them!
My 26 years in leadership roles in the healthcare industry provided me experience in leadership positions as well as the opportunity to work with staff and executives at all levels. My experience also included the implementation of computer systems across multiple hospitals, regulatory navigation, leading numerous teams, enhancing process efficiency through LEAN methodologies and lastly as a Program Director leading enterprise level projects.
Empowered with the formal education and experience I’ve enjoyed, I’ve decided to draw on my most valued real-life experience as wife, mom and daughter for the next leg of my journey.
With the privilege of participating in life-changing events of family members and special friends, some of the most challenging and emotional have been those where decisions were required around lack of savings, the need to downsize or make major changes to living situations. Faced with monetary, emotional and physical challenges, our help provided the fuel they needed.
This will become my next journey. I will be available to help the elderly age in place if that is their desire, help people relocate if necessary and we will do that by assisting with cleaning, construction, downsizing possessions and creating relationships with realtors if required. I will act as their Project Director if you will and will do it for the lowest possible rate
This Blog will be used to recruit customers as well as to share the stories of their journey all of which we’ll hope for happy endings!

Hi Sylvia, you have a great topic and your logo looks unique. Adding the hammer and small nails were a good choice because they add a better representation. One suggestion would be to create your own hammer to the logo. There are a lot of YouTube tutorials that helped me with the illustrator techniques. Creating your own hammer and rearranging the tools will make your logo stand out a little more. Right now they look all over the place but if you rearrange them it will make your logo stronger. You can also try to center the house between the two W’s. Another suggestion would be to make both letters (“W”) symmetrical to each other. The W on the left looks slightly larger and longer than the one on the right. Maybe use the transform tool to reflect the “W”, similar to the banner tutorial. A little more detail with the tools and positioning with the letters will help your logo.

Thank you very much Kimberley! Yes, I want to break the hammer image out and will definitely reflect the “W”. I haven’t created the whole thing as one object yet because I was having trouble ungrouping. As soon as I perfect that, I will reflect. I have been surviving by YouTube tutorials and really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks again!
